Pathways Staff and Board Members

Jesse Bailey
Executive Director
Jesse started his duties as Executive Director in July of 2016. He has been involved in the nonprofit world since 2010, having held management positions with the Boys & Girls Club and Big Friend-Little Friend. He continues to serve on a number of boards for organizations within the community. He obtained his BA in Human Service with minors in Psychology and Criminal Justice from Mount Marty College in Yankton. There he completed an internship with the local Court Services office, which has led to a productive partnership with Pathways. A fun fact about Jesse is that he knows how to juggle!

Benjamin Clark
Weekday Advocate
Ben is our evening Advocate for our Tier 2 programs. He helps clients get whatever they need and is also responsible for running the front desk, answering the phone, and conducting daily PBTs while on his shift. A fun fact about Ben is that he is originally from Canada!

Beth Lewison
Donation Specialist
Beth joined Pathways as our first Donation Specialist in April 2021. She manages all of our furniture and household donations including drop offs, pick ups, and organization of the entire donation center. A fun fact about Beth is that she has 3 dogs and a 3-legged cat!

Brook Matthews
Lead Weekend Overnight Advocate
Brook joined Pathways in 2022 as one of the first Night by Night team members. Her role is to complete the intake paperwork and supervise the other advocates on her shift. A fun fact about Brook is that she's a great cook!

Janet Olson
Substitute Advocate
Jan joined Pathways in 2021 as a volunteer, and later was trained on Advocate duties so she could fill in when we need additional help, or if one of the advocates calls in sick. She has been great about learning the phone system, the security camera system, and helping out with other tasks around the shelter. A fun fact about Jan is that she loves to spend time with her family and her cat Breeze.

Sheila Reichert
Weekend Advocate
Sheila joined Pathways as an Advocate in 2021. She is the dedicated Advocate on Saturdays and Sundays. A fun fact about Sheila is that she has two little boys who like to come visit Pathways sometimes!

Alexis Sejnoha
Lead Case Manager
Alexis began her journey with Pathways in August 2021. Her role is to assist clients with referrals to other agencies, connect them with resources, and be the liaison between our clients and the housing agencies/landlords to which they are applying. A fun fact about Alexis is that she also helps choreograph and coach color guard for multiple high schools and middle schools in the area, and loves marching band!

Robert Thue
Volunteer Advocate
Robert has been an Advocate for the our program since 2011. Before becoming an Advocate, he taught through the Yankton School District for many years. Bob’s experience as an educator has proven useful in assisting our clients develop problem-solving skills that allow them to be self-sufficient in the long-term.

Joseph Tielke
Program Director
Joseph joined Pathways in April of 2015 as the part-time coordinator of the ESG, conducting data-entry and some casework. As the agency made the move into the new facility, his responsibilities and hours increased until he was hired on a full-time basis in June 2016 as Program Director. Joseph’s primary responsibility continues to be assisting clients with housing and administering the ESG. When not working on the ESG, Joseph is assisting clients across all programs complete their case goals and coordinating volunteers. He is also Pathways' representative within the statewide Housing for the Homeless Consortium. A fun fact about Joe is that he has 6 chickens!

Sarah White
Lead Advocate
Sarah joined Pathways in 2021 as the Lead Advocate. She runs our front desk and supervises the other Tier 2 Advocates. A fun fact about Sarah is that currently taking courses to receive her Bachelor's of Social Work degree. Before deciding that social work was her passion, she lived in New York and worked for Calvin Klein!
