Pathways' .5k is a fundraiser for Pathways Shelter for the Homeless, and the kickoff to Crazy Days weekend in the Meridian District! Many people like the idea of completing a race, but don't necessarily like the amount of energy it takes to perform the race. For these individuals, the .5k is the answer!

This event provides a win-win-win situation. Win #1: participants register for either $20 (youth) or $25 (adult), with all proceeds going directly towards the fight against homelessness in Yankton. Win #2: Participants get a cheat sheet of the exclusive Crazy Days deals only for those wearing a race bib (and they get free donuts!). Win #3: Participating businesses in the Meridian District gain extra revenue by getting participants into their establishments.

This year we are introducing a BALL DROP! Tickets are available for purchase - 1 ball for $5 | 5 balls for $20 | 15 balls for $50. Following the "race" participants and ball-buyers are invited to stay and watch the BALL DROP! Balls we be dropped from a utility vehicle into a circular target area. The ball that lands closets to the middle target wins! 1st place wins 10% of all funds raised by the ball drop (ex. 10% of $5,000 = $500). 2nd and 3rd place receive gift card packages to downtown businesses.
